Questions to ask
Which systems will they touch, and who owns credentials after go-live? Will they document error paths your team can read?
What happens when an API changes or volume spikes? Do they train your staff or only deliver a demo environment?
Red flags
Promises of full autonomy without human review on customer-facing messages. No mention of testing or rollback.
Unclear data handling when models process client or financial information.
